Custer County Preschool serves children ages 3-5 through the Colorado Preschool Kindergarten Program, through the Special Education Preschool, and as space is available on a tuition basis.

The purpose of Custer County Preschool is to meet the community’s need for a high quality, developmentally appropriate preschool program which addresses the following areas of child development in order that children might be better prepared to enter kindergarten ready to learn:

Gross and fine motor development
Speech and language development
Social/emotional development
Pre-academic skills
Cognition
Nutrition and health concern

Services provided:
Morning session: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon session: 12:45 p.m.. – 3:45 p.m.
School bus transportation in most areas one way
Vision and hearing screenings
|Assistance with access to community services
Parent education
For children qualifying for special education services
Speech and language therapy
Physical therapy
Occupational therapy
Child psychologist
